| | *** WE NEED PROJECTS ***
The OFTR must find $1,740,000 in projects in the next two weeks that are half funded. No project is too small and this is a great opportunity for clubs to invest in areas where they ride. The most common source right now are townships and municipalities that are funding trails infrastructure such as signs, bridges, staging areas and maps.
Call your local government office and ask them if they have any 'shovel ready' projects that can be completed prior to March 31, 2010. If they do, have them contact the OFTR as soon as possible. 705-447-3110 ken@oftr.ca
NO PROJECT IS TOO SMALL or TOO BIG | We are almost at 1400 members for 2009. Here we grow again!! | | | LAND USE FUND - $5,187.76 Ontario Dual Sport Club The ODSC approached the OFTR with an idea to open up the land use fund for matching funds towards the NTC grants. They have come up with a great idea to raise money, improve ORM trails and help OFTR members that have been affected by the economic downturn. The matching dollars fund for the NTC grants recently exceeded $5,000 which will go towards labour and materials to create and improve multi-use trails that include ORMs. We hope to provide short term jobs for our members.
The OFTR has matched the contributions to date and will do so for the next $2,500 received before June 12 from a previously unused grant CLUB CONTRIBUTIONS Ontario Dual Sport Club $500 Northumberland Trail Riders $500 | PRE-ENTRY EXTENDED to June 12!!
