Goderich Ontario…stellar line up for 4th Annual West Coast Bluesfest
Labour Day weekend.
The 4th Annual West Coast Bluesfest in Goderich is hosting three of
Canada’s premier Blues artists Saturday September 5th at the Livery in
downtown Goderich. Memphis Tim, Steve Strongman and David Rotundo
will be feature at the Big Event.
“Memphis Tim and Steve Strongman both played at the International
Blues competition in Memphis earlier this year. Only 150 acts from
around the globe are invited to this annual competition” according to
John Harrison, president of the West Coast Blues. “David Rotundo needs
no introduction to the Blues scene. He and his band keep busy touring
nationally and internationally throughout the year.”
Saturday’s events will kick off at 4:00-6:00 p.m. with the Chris
Murhpy Band playing a free concert at the Band Shell on Court House
Park in the historic Goderich Square. The Big Event begins at 8:00
with the doors open at 7:00. The Big Event is licensed.
An added feature to this years event is the Friday Night Walk-About
Blues. 6 different venues in the square will feature Blues acts,
Paddy O’Neils, Goderich Grill, Bailey’s Fine Dining, J’s Bistro,
Wicked Willey’s and The Park House Tavern. Come for dinner, stay the
night!
Prices for the events on the weekend are very reasonable. $30.00 for
a weekend pass that provides entry for Friday Walk-About Blues and the
Big Event Saturday, $25.00 for The Big Event and $10.00 for the
Walk-About Blues. Tickets are available at Ernie Kings Music and
104.9 the Beach or online at www.Westcoastblues.ca.
The Westcoast Bluesfest is presented by West Coast Blues a not for
profit company managed by a volunteer board of directors.
