The last 3 weeks have been pretty slow as I've been just doing physio on my knee from my crash at Gophers 3 weeks ago. I went and saw a specialist last Friday as my physiotherapist was concerned that I had herniated my quadricep. The Dr. said my tendan looks to be damaged but is confident it should heal on its own without requiring surgery. I go back in 2 weeks for an ultrasound.
After getting the ok to ride, I rode Saturday morning for the first time in 3 weeks - the knee felt good, so I loaded up and drove to Port Perry for the final round of the Ontario Provincial Series.
Here's how the day went:
MX2 Pro: 5-5, 5th overall
MX1 Pro: 9-9, 9th overall.
Nothing too eventful to speak of, just rode consistent and did what I had to do to finish the series and not reinjure my knee.
Final Ontario Provincial Series Results:
MX2 Pro 3rd Overall
MX1 Pro 7th Overall
All-and-all I'm happy with how the series went and achieved my goal of finishing up in the top 3 for MX2. I've attached a couple podium pictures to the email that Lindsey took - MXP was also there taking pics which should be posted at www.mxpmag.com later this week.
This weekend marks my first national of the season, Round 5 of the CMRC Nationals where I'll be contesting the MX2 class. My knee will not be 100% but hopefully with a little grit I can score some points.
Thanks again to all my sponsors, family, and friends for the tremendous support!
