Aug. 26/27– Huron County Plowing Match – Huron County Plowing Match
will be held in the
Municipality of Central Huron hosted by Warden Bert and Nellie Dykstra
as well as Andrew & Irene Dykstra whose farm is located at 80294 Stone
School Line west of Clinton. The Junior 4-H achievement Day and
Princess competition will be held Thurs. Aug. 26, 2010. The Plowing
competitions, antique tractor plowing, horse plowing, Queen of the
Furrow competition make an interesting day. Agricultural and
consumer displays, Junior Farmer Ice Cream booth, garden tractor
plowing for kids, pancake breakfast at 7:30am, lunch booth at noon,
and awards BBQ at 5:30 all take place on Fri. Aug. 27, 2010. The
Plowmen's Assoc. welcomes everyone and admission is FREE!
