offroadmotorcycles.ca Port Powersports Weekend Warrior Award will be presented at each round of the CMRC-WEC Ontario Cross Country Championship

Schrader’s Yamaha DC ATM PerformX SMX Racing Announces 2010 Race Team - a stacked deck!

Schrader’s Yamaha DC ATM PerformX SMX Racing is coming to the table with a stacked deck! Riding the premier MX1 class is the young 17-year-old Shawn Maffenbeier from Swift Current Saskatchewan. “With Shawn finishing 15th overall in his rookie year last season, we look forward to a stronger and more consistent series for 2010,” said co-manager and co-team owner Randy Maffenbeier.  The team is also very excited to announce that 21-year-old Denaye Giroux, from Yorkton Saskatchewan, will also challenge for the top spot on the podium on the Women’s side. “ Denaye is everything a person could hope a rider would be. Her desire, dedication and skill has placed her in the position from finishing 3rd overall last season to being the favorite in 2010 to be a real threat to Heidi Cooke and the number 1 plate,” said co-manager and co-team owner Jackie Maffenbeier.

Both riders have been preparing for the 2010 Monster Energy National Motorcross Series for months. Shawn completed his grade 12 early January maintaining an 87 average then headed straight down to California. Denaye and Shawn have both been training hard with Todd Schumlick of PerformX Motorcross Training and are in peak physical condition. “ Todd not only trains our bodies, but teaches us how to fuel them with appropriate nutrition to wring every ounce of energy out of them on demand,” says Shawn. Denaye added, “It’s not just about the training and nutrition. Mental preparedness and visualization gives us the focus and edge over other riders.” Denaye has also been doing some extra training by racing her first AMA National in Sacramento at Hangtown this spring. Even with some short motos and tough track conditions, Denaye earned her first AMA National point!

SMX Racing would like to thank Rick Bradshaw from Schrader’s Motorsports. “Rick has gone far beyond our expectations and he keeps coming forward with new ways to help our team, “ said the Maffenbeier’s. Yamaha Canada, DC ATM’s and PerformX contributions are helping to ensure our teams success for the 2010 season. Gareth Buchanan of MXF Racing has graciously sponsored our pits, “Big Blue,” for the Western rounds giving us a larger than life professional look.  Troy Lee Design, Superior Suspension Settings, Rekluse Clutch, GYTR, Yamalube, Gaerne, Dragon Goggles, TUbliss, Crystal Fresh Water, Office Outfitters, and Yorkton Dodge are the rest of the backbone for SMX Racing. Denaye also has some extra help from Pirelli, Oakley, Tracs and the Yorkton Kinsmen.

Pictures to follow as we haven't been able to send with everything.

Pics from Dylan Langlois #955 Photoshoot!

Just a quick update here with some photos. Lindsey came out and snapped a ton of photos the other day out at my place - I've attached a few of my favorites, but all of the edited photos can be found under the 2010 Album of the Photo link at www.dylanlanglois.com

The last provincial was canceled at Auburn. I've still been riding and training lots, and I'm heading to Dutch Sport MX Park in Bloomingdale, MI for the Pro-AM this Sunday!

Another update coming Monday,

DL
