Huron County has launched a new shop local program - Huron Local
First. A program campaign called "It's in the bag!" features locally
made canvas shopping bags sold through Huron County Chambers of
Commerce and BIAs for $10 each. When consumers make purchases at
participating businesses, they'll receive a discount or perk when they
show their Huron Local First bag. Businesses can participate by filling out the attached form and
sending it back with $50 to the County of Huron. In doing so, they
will receive: A Huron Local First bag filled with promotional and marketing materials
A photo shoot of your business which will be posted on www.shopinhuron.ca
An interview and article about your business which will be posted on
www.shopinhuron.ca
A business listing, on www.shopinhuron.ca, which includes the
discount/perk your business is offering to consumers who show their
Huron Local First bag Attached, you will find the business letter and form which contains
more information about the program, a current list of participating
businesses and a current list of participating Chambers and BIAs. For
