Cruise Ship Coming into Port at Goderich Aug 25

Hot Off The Press !!!

The Cruise Ship Clelia II, has just announced that she will be coming into port on Tuesday, August 25 carrying about 70 passengers.
This cruise is Great Lakes Golf cruise and was supposed to dock in Port Elgin, however due to dockage problems and possible weather problems, the Captain feels that Goderich is a safer port of call. Too bad for Port Elgin, good news for us.
The Clelia II will arrive around 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning and depart about 7:30 p.m.
Although it is a golf cruise and most of the passengers will still be heading up to the Port Elgin area for the day, there may be an opportunity for the passengers to tour our town.
We are arranging a few local shore excursions in the morning.
Please make these visitors feel welcome if you see them around town and in your places of business. We are not having trouble getting visitors from the north, south or east, now we can get them from the west and it would be good to start a relationship.
Please feel free to pass this information on to anyone who you feel would be interested.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Bob Marshall,
Tourism Manager.
