Pierre-Alexandre Renet bit through the pain to score a race podium at the GP of Markelo. The Frenchman gained 12 points on second-placed Alex Salvini in the MX3 world standings.
Swedish youngster Filip Thuresson did as well as his Bodo Schmidt racing teammate in the EMX2 class. He finished third in the first race, and only a mechanical problem in race 2 held him from a strong overall result.
